The Beast_ by Maison Yusif: A Fragrance Forged in Friendship and Ghanaian Craft
When Maison Yusif drops The Beast this summer, it won’t just be launching a perfume. It will be telling a story of brotherhood.
Master perfumer Yusif Jnr Meizongo created the oudy, spicy, aromatic scent as a tribute to Mohamet Mbayi, known worldwide as SWAGGY Mo. In an industry driven by trends, SWAGGY Mo’s honest, selfless reviews gave Maison Yusif its first real bridge to global fragrance lovers.
“This is not just another fragrance,” Meizongo shared. “It is a statement. A reflection of power, loyalty, and the unseen forces that shape greatness.”
That statement was built by a team rooted in Ghanaian artistry. Suweiba Shardow, a leader in the female olfaction division since 2023, is known for her refined accords and for representing the brand on international stages like Dubai in 2024. Abdul Rashid Yusif Meizongo, from men’s olfaction, sourced the rare, daring materials that give The Beast its edge. Kamran Muhammad, who joined in 2024, runs the lab as head technician while managing the Kokomlemle branch.
The vision was sharpened by leadership. General Manager Baidawi Shamhuna envisioned the name The Beast in 2023, capturing its unapologetic spirit. Mahmud Yaro Yusif then crafted the packaging, ensuring every detail echoed the fragrance’s depth.
Launching across Ghana, Nigeria, Paris, and the U.S., The Beast is Maison Yusif’s answer to the world: African perfumery is here to lead, not follow.
