MTN Ghana Foundation Holds Sod-Cutting Ceremony for Women Smallholder Farmers at Pantang

In commemoration of International Women’s Day, the MTN Ghana Foundation held a sod-cutting ceremony at the premises of Pantang Hospital to commence the establishment of a modern farm for women smallholder farmers in La Nkwantang.

The initiative is aimed at empowering women in agriculture by providing them with access to modern farming technologies, resources, and training to improve productivity and livelihoods. 

In her address, the Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, Adwoa Wiafe said the project forms part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting sustainable development and promoting economic opportunities for women.

When completed, the farm will serve as a hub for innovation and capacity building, enabling the beneficiary farmers to adopt improved agricultural practices and increase their yields.
