Literacy as a Bridge to Inclusion: Ga Mantse Graces Engage Now Africa’s International Literacy Day

On Monday, 8th September 2025, Engage Now Africa proudly commemorated International Literacy Day under the theme “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era.”

We were deeply honoured by the presence of His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, who delivered an inspiring address on the importance of literacy in navigating opportunities and challenges in today’s digital age. His words served as a reminder that literacy is not just a skill but a bridge to inclusion and empowerment in the modern world.

Our Country Director, Ms. Cecilia Amankwah, also emphasized the remarkable progress of our literacy and vocational skills programs across Ghana, reaffirming our commitment to empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and driving national development through education and skills training.

The event, hosted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, #57 Independence Avenue, Ridge, Accra, featured cultural performances, graduate testimonials, and an MTN Digital Skills Training on Cybersecurity, Online Safety, and Digital Marketing.

We extend our profound gratitude to His Majesty, our partners, and all stakeholders whose contributions continue to advance our mission of healing, lifting, and rescuing lives through education and empowerment. 🌍✊
