Ghana Armed Forces Rescue Over 50 Fishermen After Pirate Attack Near Senya Bereku

The Ghana Armed Forces have successfully rescued more than 50 fishermen who were left stranded at sea following a pirate attack near Senya Bereku.

According to initial reports, the fishermen were attacked by suspected pirates while carrying out their routine fishing activities along the coast. The assailants reportedly disrupted operations and left the victims stranded in open waters, sparking urgent distress calls.

Upon receiving intelligence about the incident, the Ghana Armed Forces swiftly deployed personnel and maritime assets to the affected area. Through a coordinated rescue operation, all stranded fishermen were safely evacuated and brought to shore.

Authorities have confirmed that the rescued individuals are receiving the necessary medical attention and support. While details regarding injuries and property losses are yet to be fully disclosed, the timely intervention is believed to have prevented a potentially tragic outcome.

Security agencies have intensified surveillance along the coastline as investigations into the pirate attack continue. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about maritime security in Ghana’s coastal waters and the need for sustained vigilance to protect the livelihoods of fishing communities.

Further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
