Digital Innovation Awards Celebrate 15 Years of Driving Africa’s Digital Transformation
The Digital Innovation Awards (DIA) will celebrate its 15th edition on Thursday, 15th October 2026, bringing together leading technology companies, innovators, digital leaders and policymakers to recognise the people and organisations shaping Africa’s digital future.
The Awards Dinner will take place at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra, as part of the 7th Africa Public Sector Conference & Awards (APSCA 2026), which runs from 14th to 16th October 2026. Dr. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana, will be the Special Guest of Honour and will officially declare the conference open.
15 YEARS OF DIGITAL EXCELLENCE
The Awards began in 2010 as the Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA), created to recognise excellence in Ghana’s emerging technology and telecommunications industry.
Fifteen years later, the platform has evolved into the Digital Innovation Awards, reflecting the rapid transformation of Africa’s digital economy and its growing impact across business, government and society.
The 2026 edition will recognise organisations and individuals driving innovation across technology, telecommunications, fintech, digital services, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and other emerging areas.
CELEBRATING THE PEOPLE CHANGING AFRICA THROUGH TECHNOLOGY
The 15th edition comes at a time when digital technology is increasingly shaping how Africans work, do business, access financial services, receive healthcare, interact with government and connect with global markets.
DIA 2026 will celebrate those turning technology and innovation into real solutions, business opportunities and meaningful impact.
In celebration of the milestone edition, the Digital Innovation Awards will also host the Digital Economy Live Conference on Wednesday, 14th October 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on the sidelines of APSCA 2026. The conference will bring together technology leaders, innovators, policymakers, businesses and other stakeholders for conversations around the future of Africa’s digital economy, emerging technologies, digital transformation and opportunities for growth.
The Digital Economy Live Conference will set the stage for the 15th-anniversary Awards Dinner the following evening, Thursday, 15th October, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., where the continent’s digital innovators and technology leaders will be celebrated.
