Royalhouse Chapel Partners Through The Roof Foundation to Empower Persons with Disabilities

Royalhouse Chapel International, in partnership with the Through The Roof Foundation, successfully conducted a transformative outreach initiative aimed at restoring mobility and hope to individuals living with disabilities. This collaborative effort served as a powerful demonstration of community action and a shared commitment to empowering people facing physical challenges.

The initiative began with a distinguished opening ceremony that brought together religious leaders, government officials, healthcare professionals, and representatives from various organizations. The welcome address highlighted the significance of the outreach and acknowledged the contributions of the diverse stakeholders who had come together to support the cause.

Mr. Rob Dalton, Trustee of the Through The Roof Foundation, provided an overview of the foundation’s work and shared insights into the purpose and vision behind the initiative. His presentation was complemented by a moving video that showcased the life-changing impact of mobility assistance on beneficiaries. Apostle Rita Korankye-Ankrah of Royalhouse Chapel International also delivered an inspiring presentation, emphasizing the importance of compassion, inclusion, and practical support for individuals with disabilities.

Solidarity messages were delivered by several distinguished guests, including Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, Deputy Minister for Local Government; and other representatives from partner organizations. Their remarks underscored the importance of partnerships in promoting accessibility, dignity, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.

A major highlight of the outreach was the distribution of a substantial quantity of mobility aids designed to improve the quality of life of beneficiaries. Through the collective efforts of the partners, a large inventory of equipment was mobilized, including 130 wheelchairs, 216 pairs of crutches, 62 walking sticks, 28 walkers, and several other assistive devices. These resources were intended to restore independence, enhance mobility, and provide renewed hope to recipients.

As part of the distribution strategy, bulk donations were made directly to key healthcare institutions such as the 37 Military Hospital, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.

The community outreach culminated in a major handover session held at Ahenfie, where mobility aids were distributed directly to beneficiaries. During this session, 177 individuals received wheelchairs, 64 received crutches, five received zimmer frames, and 10 received walking sticks. In addition, 16 individuals with more complex mobility needs were provided with customized combinations of assistive equipment tailored to their specific circumstances.

Through this impactful initiative, Royalhouse Chapel International and the Through The Roof Foundation transformed compassion into action, significantly improving the comfort, mobility, and future prospects of hundreds of beneficiaries. The outreach not only provided practical support but also reaffirmed the importance of collective responsibility in building an inclusive society where every individual can live with dignity, independence, and hope.
