Ga Mantse to headline Africa Energy Technology Conference 2026 in Accra

The Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council, HRM King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has been announced as a Special Guest Speaker for the upcoming Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) 2026.

The prestigious conference is scheduled to take place from May 19 to May 21, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
Organisers of the event made the announcement with an official promotional flyer highlighting the monarch’s participation in what is expected to be one of Africa’s major gatherings for stakeholders in the energy and technology sectors.

The conference, hosted by the Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC), is expected to bring together policymakers, investors, innovators, industry leaders, researchers, and development partners to discuss the future of energy on the African continent.

With the theme focused on positioning Africa at the forefront of global energy transformation, the event will explore issues such as renewable energy, oil and gas innovation, energy transition, climate sustainability, technology integration, and investment opportunities across Africa.

The inclusion of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II as a special guest speaker is seen as significant, particularly as traditional leadership continues to play a growing role in national development conversations, environmental advocacy, and community participation in large-scale projects.

The Ga Mantse has in recent years been vocal on issues concerning development, youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and strategic partnerships aimed at promoting growth within the Greater Accra Region and Ghana as a whole.

His presence at the conference is expected to add a cultural and governance perspective to discussions surrounding Africa’s energy future and sustainable development agenda.

The Africa Energy Technology Conference 2026 is also expected to serve as a platform for networking, collaboration, and showcasing cutting-edge technologies shaping the continent’s energy landscape.

Several government agencies, international organisations, and private sector players are anticipated to participate in the three-day event.

The organisers have described the conference as a movement towards ensuring that “the future of energy is African,” while encouraging stakeholders across the continent to actively participate in shaping Africa’s energy destiny.
