Imam Mohammad Tawhidi — the Imam of Peace — sat down in Brussels and delivered one of the most clear-eyed takedowns of political Islam you will ever hear from a Muslim cleric. Every word of it needs to be heard in the West.

He was influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood from a prison cell as a young man — reading Sayyid Qutb — which is why he spent his life aligned with Hamas and harboring terrorists.

On why Iran is bombing Muslim Gulf states right now: it’s a pressure campaign. The regime knows it’s going down, and it’s trying to terrorize neighboring countries into begging America to stop. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆. And the ideology behind it is simple: if I can’t have the region, nobody gets it.

On the difference between Iran and the UAE: 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘴. 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘴. The UAE built a ministry of happiness and appointed a woman to lead it. Iran arrests women for walking the street without a hijab and throws them in green vans. These are not two expressions of the same religion. One is Islam. One is a political organization that hijacked Islam.

His wish for the Iranian people: freedom, genuine elections, and the chance to contribute to the world. He points out that the doctors, engineers, scientists, and artists Iran has been suppressing for 50 years are exactly what the world needs — and the regime has been robbing both Iran and humanity of them.
