A new global passport report by PassportReports has revealed the current standing of the Ghanaian passport, placing Ghana at 123rd globally and 14th in Africa. The data shows that Ghanaian passport holders can access 72 destinations without obtaining a traditional visa prior to travel.

With a Mobility Score of 72, Ghanaian passport holders enjoy a 36.4% global access rate, while 126 destinations worldwide still require a pre-approved visa.

42 Destinations Offer Visa-Free Entry

Ghanaian passport holders can travel visa-free to 42 countries:

• Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Eswatini, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

• Americas & Caribbean: Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.

• Asia-Pacific: Bangladesh, Fiji, Kiribati, Micronesia, Philippines, Singapore, and Vanuatu.

Permitted stay durations reach up to 180 days in Barbados and Dominica, 120 days in Fiji and Vanuatu, and up to 90 days across most African and Caribbean nations.
