Tema West: Joshua Selormey Declares Intent to Contest for NDC Constituency Communications Officer Position

Joshua Selormey, affectionately known as Joe, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Constituency Communications Officer of the Tema West Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The declaration, made through an official announcement on his Facebook page, outlines his vision to strengthen communication, deepen engagement, and improve information flow within the party’s constituency structure.

In his statement, Selormey stressed the importance of effective communication in sustaining a vibrant and progressive political party, describing it as “the heartbeat of a strong and progressive party.” He indicated his readiness to inject fresh energy, innovation, and strategic direction into the communication system of the Tema West NDC, with the objective of ensuring that party members are informed, actively engaged, and empowered.

According to him, stronger communication structures are essential to mobilization, party cohesion, and grassroots participation, particularly at a time when political organizations must remain connected to the concerns and aspirations of their members.

“As a communicator, I believe every member deserves timely, accurate, and impactful information that strengthens unity and inspires active participation,” his declaration suggested.

Selormey further revealed that his vision for the office will be anchored on what he describes as the S.I.T PrincipleSpeed, Impact, and Transparency — which he says will guide his communication strategy if given the mandate to serve.

Under this framework, he pledged to prioritize the swift dissemination of information, ensure communication achieves meaningful impact among party faithful, and promote transparency in engagements and internal communication processes.

“With your support and prayers, I am ready to serve,” he stated, while appealing to members and supporters of the Tema West NDC to back his bid for a stronger and better-connected constituency.

He concluded his announcement with the campaign hashtags #Joe4CO and #JoeSpeaks4Us, signaling what supporters describe as a campaign centered on representation, accessibility, and responsive communication.

Selormey’s declaration is expected to generate discussions among party members in Tema West as the constituency prepares for internal party processes and leadership decisions.
